Roundtrip Groesbeek Market Garden
The Freedom Museum organises bus tours in the Rijk van Nijmegen along the landing sites and monuments of Operation Market Garden, the largest airborne operation ever.
It is Sunday 17 September 1944, the Netherlands is still occupied. Like a gift from heaven, 8,000 American paratroopers jump down around Groesbeek and Nijmegen, on this Sunday during Operation Market Garden, to liberate the Netherlands. At the same time, the advance of the British land army from Belgium begins through Brabant towards Nijmegen and Arnhem with the aim of capturing the bridges over the waterways in south-east Holland in one swift action. Although Arnhem was a bridge too far, the Rijk van Nijmegen was liberated and from here the foundations were laid for the liberation of the Netherlands and Western Europe from February 1945 with the great Rhineland Offensive (Operation Veritable).
We also offer tours for e.g. groups of veterans, historians or military trainees. We can highlight certain parts in order to match your wishes as closely as possible. We also offer a professional Battlefield Tour for interested parties.

- Prices:
1. Museum admission € 15.00 pp: group rate from 10 pers;
2. Museum admission € 8.00 pp: group rate for military personnel, school pupils, veterans, from 10 pers;
3. Tour guide € 60 per 1.5 hours (excl. bus). You need 1 guide per bus.*
3. Without package and without a visit to the Freedom Museum

Bus transport
Prices are based on your own (bus) transport. However, the Freedom Museum can also arrange bus transport for you. The overview below shows the corresponding prices.

- Rates are based on 1.5 hours regardless of which day.
- Additional hours: € 60 per hour.
- Please note that a seat in the bus must also be reserved for the guide. This might mean that you need to book a larger bus.
