Visitors can borrow a wheelchair, walker, folding chair or noise cancelling headphones, free of charge. These can be booked in advance through our contact form.
People with a disability (visible or non-visible) may bring one carer with them to the museum for free. No evidence is required, and carers do not need to show a pass. Animals are not permitted, with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs.
All the texts and (audiovisual) displays at the Freedom Museum are available in three languages: Dutch, English, and German. All of the videos in the permanent exhibition are spoken in one language (usually Dutch), and subtitled in Dutch, English, and German. Visitors to the museum can use our free Wi-Fi.
The Freedom Museum has a large free parking space and there are two disabled parking spaces at the main entrance. In addition, you can park your bicycle at the museum and there is a charging station for electric bicycles. Coaches can let guests off in front of the main entrance of the museum. You can then park your coach or touring car in the designated parking spaces. For the directions and the options by public transport, check out Route & Parking.
