  • What are the opening hours of the Freedom Museum?
  • From Monday to Saturday the Museum is open 10.00-17.00. On Sundays and holidays the Museum is open 12.00-17.00. On 1 January (New Year’s Day) and on 25 December (Christmas day) the Freedom Museum is closed. Sometimes opening hours can be extended for certain events at the Centre. For these occasions please check the website.
  • What are the entry fees for the Freedom Museum?
  • The Freedom Museum applies different entry rates for young people and adults. In addition, there are various discounts for veterans, students and groups of 10 people and more. Children up to the age of 7 and supervisors of disabled visitors have free access (maximum 1 supervisor per person). For a complete overview of all rates, please check our page with the entrance fees. It is not possible to pay with cash. We only accept debit cards and credit cards.
  • Can I pay with cash at the Freedom Museum?
  • It is not possible to pay with cash. We only accept debit cards and credit cards. Group packages and educational programmes can also be put on account. You can indicate your method of payment in your application.
  • Is the Freedom Museum accessible for people with physical disabilities or wheelchair users?
  • The Freedom Museum is completely wheelchair accessible. In addition, there are a few wheelchairs and walkers available for visitors. The museum also has toilets and a disabled toilet. Pets are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs and service dogs.
  • Do I have to register if I want to visit Freedom Museum with a group without a group deal package?
  • If you visit the Freedom Museum with 10 people or more, you will receive a group discount. It is advisable to register your visit in advance due to the possible presence of other groups or large numbers of visitors in the museum. This can be done by email welkom@vrijheidsmuseum.nl. If you want to get one of our group packages, reservations are required. In that case you can fill out the application form for group arrangements or contact mrs. Nadia Boujida (coordinator group bookings) via welkom@vrijheidsmuseum.nl.
  • Do I have to register if I want to visit the Freedom Museum with a school or educational institution?
  • The Freedom Museum has several different educational programmes for students of primary education, secondary education, secondary vocational education and higher education. More information about the contents of these educational programmes can be found under ‘Education’. If you want to use any of these educational programmes you will need to register your visit beforehand. You can make a reservation for your school visit by filling out the application form on the website or by contacting Mrs. Nadia Boujida (coordinator group reservations) through welkom@vrijheidsmuseum.nl.
  • Am I allowed to bring my pet?
  • Animals are not permitted, with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs.
