Opening hours

Monday - Saturday: 10.00-17.00

Sundays*: 12.00-17.00

*We are also open on Boxing Day from 12:00 to 17:00. 

On all other holidays, our regular opening hours apply, from 10:00 to 17:00. With the exception of 1 January (New Year's Day) and 25 December (Christmas Day), when we are closed. In connection with events, opening hours may vary, please consult the activity calendar. 

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Everything is multi lingual and brings home the impact of war on individuals rather than just dates and battles.

This is a brand new museum that has only been open 3 weeks. It replaces an earlier museum on the same site so bear this in mind when reading older reviews. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The exhibition is based in a circular building designed to look like a giant parachute. It leads you through exhibits, information boards and video clips showing the evolution of World War 2 from 1918 onwards. Everything is multi lingual and brings home the impact of war on individuals rather than just dates and battles.
