Battlefieldtour Rhineland Offensive
The Rhineland Offensive consisted of five military operations during the period 8 February to 25 March 1945. The Battlefield Tour Rhineland Offensive takes you back in time. In a bus with an expert guide, you will visit key locations of this military operation. In the field, the guide will explain in detail what happened at that location, what choices had to be made and which details led to success. All supported with maps and detailed photos from the time. A complete and varied picture of an extraordinary military operation that marked the end of World War II.
Please note: this Battlefieldtour differs from the Battlefieldtour Market Garden in that few physical landmarks can be seen again.
Programme
- Introduction to the Freedom Museum
- Start route outside the museum
- Route along (among others) start line Operation Veritable, Siegfried Line, Klinik Bedburg-Hau, Hochwald Gap, Wesel and Canadian Cemetery Groesbeek
- Lunch or sanitary stop: by mutual agreement *

* A lunch break/address is not included in the route as standard. Packed lunches will be provided in consultation with the group. Bringing your own packed lunch is also possible

There are several ways you can book a guided Battlefield tour for a group with us:
1. Coupled with a visit to the Freedom Museum
- Prices:
1. Museum admission € 15.00 pp: group rate from 10 pers;
2. Museum admission € 8.00 pp: group rate for military personnel, school pupils, veterans;
3. Battlefieldtour guide € 250 per 6 hours (excluding bus). You need 1 guide per bus and there is space for up to 15 people.*
2. Without a visit to the Freedom Museum
- Prices:
1. Battlefieldtour guide € 250 per 6 hours (excluding bus). You will need 1 guide per bus and there is space for max. 15 persons.*

Bus transport
Prices are based on your own bus transportation. However, the Freedom Museum can also arrange bus transport for you. The overview below shows the corresponding prices.

NB:
- Rates are based on 1.5 hours regardless of which day.
- Additional hours: € 60 per hour.
- Please note that a seat on the bus must also be reserved for the guide. This might mean you need to book a larger bus.
