Monday - Saturday: 10.00-17.00

Sundays and holidays*: 12.00-17.00

*Including Easter Monday, Whit Monday, King's Day, Boxing Day, with the exception of Ascension Day during which regular opening hours apply.

The Freedom Museum will be closed on 1 January (New Year’s Day) and on 25 December (Christmas Day). Sometimes opening hours can be extended for certain events at the museum. For these occasions please check the website.

The main focus of this museum is how you lose your freedom, what it costs to keep your freedom and even how hard it is in our time to be free. There is a parking lot next to the museum.

The main focus of this museum is how you lose your freedom, what it costs to keep your freedom and even how hard it is in our time to be free. There is a parking lot next to the museum. You start after the film with the history of 4 people from the neighborhood followed by the history of WW2 in the Netherlands, all focused on the loss of freedom and regaining freedom. The temporary exhibition was about the black triangle that antisocial people had to wear during the German occupation.
